How to Download Instagram Videos
A complete, beginner-friendly walkthrough on saving public Instagram media on any device.
1. Downloading Instagram Videos on Mobile (iPhone & Android)
Mobile users account for the vast majority of Instagram engagement. Downloading a public video to your smartphone takes less than 30 seconds:
- Launch the Instagram app on your iPhone or Android phone.
- Find the public reel or video post you want to save.
- Tap the Share icon (looks like a paper airplane) or the Three Dots (...) in the upper right corner.
- Tap Copy link.
- Open your mobile browser (Safari, Chrome, or Firefox) and navigate to InstaSave.
- Tap the Paste button in our input box.
- Tap Download and choose your preferred MP4 quality.
2. Downloading Instagram Videos on PC or Mac
If you are working on a computer or desktop workstation:
- Open your web browser and go to instagram.com.
- Click on the post or reel you wish to download to view its URL in your browser’s address bar.
- Copy the URL (Ctrl + C on Windows or Cmd + C on Mac).
- Switch to InstaSave, paste the link, and click Download.
- The video file will be saved directly into your system's
Downloadsfolder.
3. Important Legal & Fair Use Guidelines
Always respect copyright. When downloading videos created by others:
- Use downloaded videos strictly for personal offline backup, educational review, or fair use.
- Never re-upload or commercially monetize another creator’s media without explicit written permission.
